During these 2 days, you'll create your own plant fiber paper. You'll learn inlay techniques, all to create an A5 accordion-style notebook with cover.

Tibetan Paper and Calligraphy - Hérault-France
Locations: Rougemont and Combaillaux
Come and spend a relaxing week close to nature in the world of plants and Tibetan calligraphy.
This year, Atelier Art'ige aims to offer even more discoveries for lovers of nature, art and creation.
From Saturday 01 to 06 July, immerse yourself in an unusual world.
A small group of 5 people will immerse themselves in the world of plants and Tibetan oriental writing, between Rougemont and Combaillaux in the Hérault region of France, for 6 days of sharing, discovery and good humor.
Here's what's on offer ...
Arrival: Rougemont on 01 at 9 a.m. to begin your 2 1/2-day paper initiation course, with the aim of creating a Tibetan notebook in which to record what you learn later.

Monday 03: Carpool to Combailleux
Accommodation France: In the charming village of St-Georges d'Orques
Tuesday 04: Calligraphy workshop begins in Combaillaux
Wednesday 05: course ends around 5pm.
Thursday 06: Return to Switzerland after breakfast

Namkhai Master Calligrapher
Passionate about calligraphy, Namkhai spent no less than 8 years in the Himalayas with renowned Tibetan lamas, learning all the techniques and perfecting his art.

Introduction to Vegetable Paper and Natural Inks
During these 3 days, you'll be introduced to the art of creating sheets of paper from plant fibers, with which you'll make a bound A5 booklet, and you'll learn how to make inks with what nature provides.

Opening hours: Saturday 15th from 9.00 am to Monday 17th around 4.30 pm

Leather binding and cover
During these 3 days, you'll create your own paper from plant fibers. You'll be able to add inlays and elements to create an A5 travel book with a leather cover.
